The game is not yet fully finished, but he and his team offer us the means to go and install the game on our Android mobile phones and give it a try. Augmented Reality has been on the map for quite a while now, but at the ETH (Zurichs renowned University) we were allowed to have an upclose look at what some companies are doing. This might be a great mobile learning tool for young kids and teenagers. There are several possiblities for mobile learning use though. Augmented reality is really taking off in a multitude of ways. The potential of mobile AR is really powerful because it brings a whole new layer to the real world we live in. Well, here’s an example of mobile AR used for mechanic training in the US military. This type of AR can be very helpful as a performance support tool and as a teaching aid for students learning the mechanic trade. That’s pretty powerful stuff and I can see this type of thing being employed even down to the elementary school student learning math.
